[HISTORY]
Autumn, 1997.
Change Up founded by Satoshi (lead vocal and guitar) in Chiba, a prefecture
north east of Tokyo. Initially Change Up was a trio.
Spring, 1998. The band, influenced by the rising Ska music genre,
added Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Trumpet and Trombone into the band. They
joint released on a number of compilation CD's.
1999, August. 1st maxi single released, titled [6・4・3] on the
School Bus records label. After that original bassist Tomohiro left
the band and was the new bassist ShioMan, joined the band.
2000, July. Change Up's 1st Album [Free Style] was released.
It sold more than 40,000 units.
2000, August. The band had their first Japan nationwide tour
to support the new release.

2001, September. 2nd all nationwide Japan tour. Exceptionally
successful tour with all sold out shows. Of note is the sell out of
Shibuya Quatro in a single day, 800 capacity. This very good for an
indies band.
2002, March. 3rd maxi single [Rodeo Queen] is released. This
an unusual collaboration with Natsu (ex-Sentimental Bus) that suprosed
and impressed all. The maxi single included the song [Morning] with
the promotion video featuring a guest appearance by the All Japan Motocross
Rider. An unusual and successful collaboration.
2002, April. Supported the Korean punk band [No Brain] on their
Japan Tour.
2002, August. Self organized and promoted joint show by Change
Up [Vans Mosh Ride 2002] at Sports Land SUGO (Miyagi Prefectrue). That
event was the first official freestyle Motocross event in Japan.
2002, November. Released their 2nd LP[Heart Attack]. Change Up
opening for Reel Big Fish's Japan tour. (Shibuya Quattro, Club Chitta
Kawasaki, On Air Osaka). Reel Big Fish's member invited the band to
American tour.
2003, February. Change Up launch their own 3rd nationwide Japan
tour to support the LP. This tour was 21 shows in 20 cities in Japan.
Again, these were sold out events and again, sold out tickets at Shibuya
Quattro and Chiba Look in one day.
2003, May. The band opens for SUM41'S Japan Tour at Tokyo Bay
NK Hall. Change Up, now influenced by West Coast Labels (like Epitaph,
Fat, Drive-Thru, Look Out), they established their own label [Cordova
Records] and spread their activities.
2004, February 12 & 13th. 1st USA west coast tour. In San Diego,
California. Live shows were held at Martini Ranch, Encinitas with Scarlet
Symphony and the Plug Uglies and at Club Tremors with Get the Girl and
